Dr. Sachdeva supplies pipe-borne water to Monrovia Central Prison

India’s former Honorary Council General to Liberia and Businessman, Dr. Upjit Singh Sachdeva popularly known as Dr. Jeety has been praised again by the Liberian government for his humanitarian role played in the growth and development of the Liberian populace. Dr. Jeety who is a top businessman in the country provides jobs for many Liberians from diverse backgrounds. It can be recalled Dr. Sachdeva during the first wave of the COVID-19 distributed cook meals to the less fortunate within Monrovia and its environ. The humanitarian who always refuse not to disclose the amount he spent on his donations said, all he is doing is to the Glory of God Almighty. Dr. Sachdeva has for a year now always contributed to providing meals for the Monrovia Central Prison (Salt Beach) twice every month and also providing wheelchairs and walking sticks for the disabled community.

During one of his regular visits to the prison, Dr. Sachdeva promised to help with electricity and water supply to the salt beach. After a month, the former diplomatic has fulfilled his promise to the prison by providing, water that runs in all the housing units, the clinic, bakery, and other sites that are in need of water. Also, Dr. Sachdeva provided the installation of two 500 liters poly tanks for water storage, including a 5.5 KVA generator for the supply of water and light whenever there is a power outage from the Liberia Electricity Corporation.

In response, the Ministry of Justice through the administration of the Monrovia Central Prison thanked the popular businessman for his level of supports render to the prison over the year. According to them, after their request was made to him for a water supply challenge, he responded to them swiftly and all is well with the water supply at the central prison.

Dr. Sachdeva has at the same time continued to provide cook meals to the less fortunate in the Vai Town community.
