The U.S Ambassador to Liberia Michael McCarthy has narrated the long-standing relationship between the Governments and people of Liberia and the United States of America. Ambassador McCarthy stated that both Liberia and the U.S share a unique history with a common pair of democratic values.
The U.S Ambassador mentioned the collaboration between the Ministry of Information, the University of Liberia as well as others Institutions of Government with other Institutions in the U.S. The U.S Diplomat also recommended the construction of a monument as a means of preserving Historic Providence Island for future generations.
He was speaking on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the program marking the official kickoff of Liberia’s Bicentennial Celebration in Monrovia at the Providence Island, in Monrovia, Montserrado County.
