Drama surrounds Petro Trade Cup semi finals

Muscat FC will take on Tony FC in the semi finals of the 2021/2022 Petro Trade Cup following their surprise victory over IE on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in the quarter finals stage at the SKD practice pitch in Paynesville.

The Paynesville boys managed a 1-0 win over Invincible Eleven with a breakthrough goal from Musa Jabateh and Mark Yallah connections in late 2nd half.

Muscat FC semi finalist opponents, Tony FC also upset another 1st division side, Bea Mountain 5-4 on post match penalty following a two all draw at the SKD practice pitch in the early kicked off to book their semi final slat.

Other semi final match will witness LISCR FC against 2nd division club, Nimba FC.

The both clubs qualified to the semi finals at the expense of Nimba Kwadoe and the competition defending champions, Monrovia Club Breweries in the other quarter finals at the TUSA field in Garnerville.

Liscr FC defeated Nimba Kwadoe 3-1 while Nimba FC beat Monrovia Club Breweries 4 goals to 2 in penalties after a heated full 90 minutes draw.
