The Liberia National Police has arrested a 37-year-old female Guinean national for alleged kidnapping and Human Trafficking.
Suspect Fanta Toare was arrested on May 30, 2022, in the Jacob Town Community in Monrovia with two kids, 6 and 8 years old respectively taken from a Guinean village, Bambeta, and brought to Monrovia for the purpose of selling them.
The suspect is presently at the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police undergoing investigation.
Meanwhile, the parents of the two children are presently here in Liberia and have been reunited with their children while assisting the ongoing investigation.
The Guinean Embassy in Liberia has been notified and has developed a serious interest in the ongoing investigation according to a police press release.
