Newly promoted 1st division club, Cece United FC has announced the signing of Oplanda Kaikula on a three-year contract. The Central Defender joined the Saye Town boys from Heaven Eleven FC, a Nimba County-based 1st division side.
Oplanda was also part of a Lofa County squad that won the National County Sports meet in 2021, defeating Montserrado County 3-1 in the grand final. He reunites with Coach Samuel Sumo who stood on the touchline during their triumph in the county meet with Lofa.
Coach Sumo who is popularly known in Liberian football as coach level earlier replaced, Jasper Benfelix who guarded Cece United to automatic promotion from 2nd division to the 1st division and also won the championship.
The former Heaven Eleven Defender marked Coach Level First recruit ahead of the new LFA league season which is expected to kick at the end of this month.
He spent two years at Heaven Eleven, leading them to a 2nd division title in 2020/ 2021, enabling them to gain promotion to the 1st division before his departure for this league season.
