Reporters Association Launches Dollar Rally for ill Journalists

The Leadership of the Reporter Association of Liberia has launched an SOS call for Liberia Broadcasting System dialect announcer Mulbah Kesselley who is currently in sick bed at the John F. Kennedy medical hospital in Monrovia. Kesselley who is an employee of the Liberia Broadcasting System has been battling illness for a period of one month.

Speaking at a special press conference at the headquarters of the Press Union of Liberia Thursday, August 18, 2022, the president of the Reporter Association of Liberia Cecelia Clark narrated that Reporter Kesselley and Reporter Abraham Sonii has been ill over a period of one month.

According to Madam Clark due to the ill condition of Mulbah Kesselley, his family has spent a huge sum of money but he is yet to recover. She used the occasion to launch a Dollar Really campaign for the Reporter who is still admitted at the John F. Kennedy medical center.

She at the same time called on Media owners in the country to contribute in order to save the life of the reporter.

The Leadership of the Reporter Association of Liberia however, donated an initial amount of ten thousand ($10,000LD) Liberian Dollars plus forty ($40.00USD) United States Dollars to the family of the ill reporter to assist in paying some of the medical bills.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the family Kolubah Akoi Lauded the Leadership of the Reporter Association of Liberia for the kind gesture and promised that the donation will be used for the intended purpose.

He expressed Joy and maintain that this is the first time for an organization to identify with Mulbah Kesselley since he got ill, Mr. Akoi at the same time called on humanitarian Organizations to come to their aid.
