Sylvina Garnett and Emmanuel Mensah, FIFA-badged referees from Liberia, have finished a VAR training program in Casablanca, Morocco. On November 20, 2022, Garnett and Mensah left Liberia for Morocco to join other African referees in a ten-day VAR course under the supervision of knowledgeable teachers.
Basic training, going through VAR protocols, and using the VAR simulator were all part of the course’s practical and theoretical sessions.
Reports231 has established that Sylvina Garnett was the only woman and the first female referee from Liberia to undertake rigorous physical and technical training out of the eighteen referees.
