MONROVIA- Connex Energy said it has spoken with authorities about Liberia’s jet fuel crisis in order to give customers and stakeholders time to make plans. The Liberia and Sierra Leone operations of the French petroleum refining giant Total Energies were purchased by the African distribution business last year, in 2021, for an undisclosed sum. The corporation revealed that during this time, airlines will fuel at alternate sites and use various techniques.
Conex Energy Liberia noted that it has already informed all relevant parties of its position, including the Ministries of Commerce and Transport, the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority, the Roberts International Airport, and the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company.
The company emphasized that the communication to relevant ministries and agencies in the aviation sector is to allow its customers and stakeholders time to plan accordingly.
