Min. Isaac Doe Preaches Peace Ahead of 2023 elections

Monrovia – Liberia Deputy Minister for Youth Development at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Isaac Doe has called on Liberians to engage in dialogue and peaceful discussion ahead of the October 10, 2023 general election. Minister Doe noted that for a transparent election, all measures must be put in place for the betterment of the country.

He stated that it is imperative for Liberians to stand together in defense of the nation’s peace and stability. The country will not achieve its goals as a result of the act of violence, Minister Doe stated, and as a result, the nation’s aspirations and those of its citizens would be unsuccessful.

He continued that the Weah led government most concern is to maintain the peace and stability of the country and the promotion of social development and economy. He noted that without peace, no nation can have economic empowerment, Youth development, Jobs opportunities for citizens nor to reduce poverty.

Minister Doe spoke at the launch of the Strategic Plan of the UP to US National Agenda of Federation of Liberian Youth. The new program, UP to US is a strategic program to help young people through capacity building across the Country. The program was held on Thursday, February 17, 2023, in Monrovia.
