CDC Blue Monrovia

Monrovia, Liberia – Thousands of members and supporters of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) flooded the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia. Numerous party leaders, lawmakers, and high-ranking government officials lead various groups of supporters to the ATS.

Partisans and sympathisers of the party matched from their homes on Bushrod Island, Somalia Drive, Barnesville, Brewerville and central Monrovia on Thursday, September 7 to the ATS to take part in the programme.

Wearing red, white and blue berets and t-shirts, they shouted chants ”Da Weah we want, 12 Years loading” among others.

President Weah noted during the launch that the event was a resounding demonstration of how genuine democracy operates throughout the African continent. He said that his administration still works to advance women’s empowerment, gender equality, and press and speech freedom in the country.

According to President Weah, the turnout demonstrated Liberians’ passion for their nation and was a sign that they would exhibit the same affection for him and the CDC on October 10. He argued that Liberians, particularly dissatisfied voters, should not be seduced by individuals claiming to possess the enchanted wind that will save them and fix the nation.

The people asking for a second chance to lead the nation, according to President Weah, have already wasted the chances to save the nation and its citizens. President Weah characterised himself as the ideal candidate to lead the nation as a developer, and a talk and do leader well connected.
