Monrovia, Liberia – Senator Prince Johnson, a well-known supporter of Unity Party Standard Bearer Joseph Boakai, has expressed worries about probable election tampering by the ruling party and has threatened to use force to defend the interests of the populace.
The impressive turnout during the launch of the Unity Party campaign is an indication of the people’s resolve to remove President George Weah from power, according to the Nimba County Senator, who was sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Treasury for corruption.
Sen. Johnson’s remarks reaffirm Amb. Boakai’s unequivocal announcement of his willingness to oppose election tampering on October 10th.
Senator Johnson claimed that President Weah broken his pledge to the people of Nimba by failing to provide them important positions in his administration which led him to redraw his support to the Weah re-election. He made the statement doing a press conference on Monday.
