Baseless, and useless, the law will prevail, Cummings Describes Uery Allegation

The opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC) stander-bearer Mr. Alexander B. Cummings has describes the write of arrest issued against him by the All Liberian Party (ALP) as baseless and unfounded, noting that they make mistake in coming after him.

According to him, the ALP through its political leader made a big mistake to come after him because the case is averagely baseless. Speaking to a team of Judicial reporters on  Tuesday, January 4, 2022, when he appeared at the Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice to secure his criminal appearance bond. Mr. Cumming extols the judicial system for the level of independence display, adding that the legal system will prevail.

“Let me say this, the judicial system work today and I am hoping it will continue to work in the future. I want to appreciate all my supporters and Liberians at large for the support and love showed me today. This is a clear demonstration of their unconditional love toward me” Mr. Cummings narrated.

The ANC political leader further indicated that the plan by the ALP political leader Mr. Beniona Urey to break up the Collaborating Political Parties will not work because Mr. Urey has no point and he will be defeated in advance with the law because the case is baseless.

Mr. Cummings also expressed disappointment over the alleged refusal of the Chairman of the CPP Amb. Joseph N. Boakai’s failure to speak to the current allegation and internal fight in the CPP particularly between him and Mr. Urey.

“I am surprise that the chairman of the CPP former Vice President Joseph N. Boakai continues to remain silent and fails to speak to the allegation and fight that is ongoing in the CPP. He continues to say nothing about this. We are not deterred because this fight is about changing Liberia and the system that has taken advantage of the Liberian people” the ANC political leader disclosed.

He continues “I believe that Mr. Urey is going after me because he is a paid agent of the government and they see me as a threat to them but it will not work. The Liberian people will still vote for us because we are clean people with good integrity and record. With all they are saying, we will make sure we engaged with our people”, Mr. Cummings informed News Men.

According to the ANC man, he still believes that the Liberian Leader (George Weah) will be a one-term president after the 2023 general elections.
