On Wednesday night the country experience what is called a national disaster which led to the death of fellow compatriots from the crusade stampede in the slum community of the Borough of New Kru Town Bushrod Island at the D. Tweh field.

The unfortunate situation took away the lives of several countrymen, women, and children including pregnant women as the result of Zogo’s attack on a Christian Crusade hosted by Apostle Abraham Kamara.

According to FLY President Amos Williams, FLY and MRU Youth Parliament Liberia chapter share grief and sorrows and extend deepest condolences to the grieving families for the tragic situation which occurred last evening at a climax of a church crusade caused by disadvantaged youth commonly referred to as zogos.

FLY and MRU Youth Parliament Liberia describe the situation as a threat to the security of the state something they said there is a need for national government to give serious attention to the growing threats of insecurity throughout the country.

To address this national security emergency facing the nation from its youthful population, FLY and MRUYP-LC are calling on all authorities of the three branches of government to immediately begin honest national youth empowerment programs that will provide better livelihoods for young people through a national consolidated socio, economic and political efforts.

Again, FLY and MRUYP-LC to the bereaved families, we express our deepest sympathies to you all we pray that God Almighty grant you courage in this time of bereavement.
