Montserrado County District #4 Representative Rustonlyn Suacoco Dennis is calling on petroleum dealers in the country to desist from maximizing profit at the detriment of the Liberian people.

According to the Montserrado County District #4 lawmaker, there are some petroleum dealers in the country who have planned purposely to inflict commodities prices to acquire millions of dollars at the detriment of the Liberian people who are struggling to provide meals for their families on a daily basis.

She stressed that as per her survey conducted in the region, Liberia is the only country that is selling petroleum products at $6.00USD which is not in the interest of the struggling masses in the country.

She described their actions as unpatriotic, undemocratic, and having the propensity of undermining the developmental activities in the country.

The Youthful female lawmaker at the same time called on the Executive Branch of government especially the president of the Republic of Liberia George Weah to adequately address this current petroleum crisis in the country and not remain tight-lipped on the issue.

The Lawmaker lamented that these products are political commodities; as such there is a need for urgent attention from the government if such a situation occurred in the country. she said the growth and development of Liberia depend on every Liberian.

Representative Dennis mentioned that there are some individuals who are in the constant habit of defending issues even if they are victims of what they are defending because in their minds opposition politicians should not discuss or Identified the lapses in government. “The fact remains that there is hardship in the country people are going to Bed without food and there is extreme poverty on the faces of the people these are hard facts that can not be ignored easily” she noted.

The Lawmaker expressed that despite the challenges, she will not be deterred nor intimidated by anyone because of her critical standing on national issues in the country. “I will not compromise the interest of the Liberian people, especially on issues that are affecting my people. I will continue my advocacy once it is in the interest of the country and its citizens” the District #4 Representative narrated.

Representative Rustonlyn Suacoco Dennis lamented that since her ascendency at the House of Legislature, she continues to advocate for the Liberian people, especially for the people of District #4 of Montserrado County due to that, there are a lot of transformations in her District through her advocacy.

Representative Dennis made the accession today June 8, 2022, on her official Facebook page.
