    Jeety feeds over 5,000 Liberians on Christmas Day

    On Sunday, December, 25 Dr. Upjit Singh Sachdeva, also known in Liberia as Mr. Jeety, and the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Chief Dr. Jowel Howard Taylor, participated in a hot cook meal distribution to inmates at the Monrovia Central Prison, and other locations throughout Liberia.

    More than 1,361 convicts at the Monrovia Central Prison received hot cooked meals from the Indian Business Man and his team, along with 3,000 people in various Montserrado County localities and little over 1,000 children in Weala who resides in Cinta Township, Weala District, and Margibi County Electoral District No. 5 also received share of the hot cooked meal, soft drinks, cakes and sweet from the Jeety Trading Group Team.

    Chief Dr. Jowel Howard Taylor praised Dr. Jeety for his continuous support to the prison facility and Liberians as a whole.

    Dr. Jeety stated that he is a Liberian at heart and an Indian by nationality, and as such, he is dedicated to meeting the needs of all Liberians while speaking to a team of reporters at the event. In light of the key general and presidential elections in 2023, he urged the younger generation to keep the peace, adding that a nation cannot advance in the absence of peace.

    He emphasized that Weala is his home away from home and that he wants to live and die there. Dr. Jeety has been cooking hot meals for prisoners, individuals, hospitals, disabilities, and at-risk youth in prisons throughout Montserrado County and its environs since 2017. Dr. Jeety on a daily basis feeds over two thousand AT-RISK youths and people living with disability at his Vai Town office in Central Monrovia, and hospital within and around Monrovia.

    Hot Cooked Meal Distribution in Weala

    After the ceremony, Roland S. Johnson, the commissioner of Margibi County electoral district number five for Cinta Township, Weala District, praised the CEO of Jeety trading Corporation and his institution for their countless contributions to Liberia and Liberians. He expressed his happiness at accompanying Dr. Jeety in distributing Christmas gifts and preparing meals for kids throughout the District. According to him, he saw the gathering as a chance to meet with young Liberians after being invited.

    He mentions that his engagement with the younger generation will be ongoing as he plans to assist Dr. Jeety in distributing meals to children and adults with disabilities throughout the county. In addition, Commissioner Johnson utilized the occasion to encourage institutions and well-meaning Individuals to help those in need because it is more a blessing to give than to receive. He advised the children to keep up their good behaviors as responsible Liberians.
