The Managing Director of the RIA debunked claims that French airline, Air France is about to stop doing business in Liberia due to bad service at Roberts International Airport.

A document relating to Air France’s change of operations in Liberia has been discovered as part of Reports231’s inquiry into the airline’s activity in the country.

According to Mr. Martin Hayes, Managing Director of the Liberia Airport Authority, he received notification from the airline on February 25, 2022, that the French airline is reducing the number of flights to Liberia from seven to three days a week, including Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, from February 28 to March 26, 2022, using (A350).

The revised schedule will take effect on February 28, 2022, according to the message. The main reason for the curtailment of flights to Liberia, according to the French airline, is the current situation and embargo in Mali.

This was a report from the airline official site; As of 20 April 2020, Air France customers will once again be able to travel to Monrovia (Liberia) thanks to five weekly flights operated by Airbus A330-300 with a capacity of 224 seats (36 in Business, 21 in Premium Economy, and 167 in Economy class).

Air France will serve Monrovia as a continuation of service to Bamako (Mali) on Mondays and Thursdays, and directly on Tuesdays and Fridays before joining Bamako.
