The President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Albert T. Chea warn Agents of Anti-graft institutions to desist from sharing information with Journalists for public consumption.
Senator Chea said, he blames the Public Procurement Concession Commission (PPCC) and the Liberia Anti-corruption Commission( LACC) over the recent public reactions to the article published indicating that the National Elections Commission spent the Amount of $182,320.00 US to rent 20 pieces of facial recognition device “thermometer” from Tuma enterprise.
Speaking on the first day of the Public Procurement Concession Commission Third Annual Forum at the Ministerial Complex in Monrovia on Wednesday, December, 1,2021, Senator Albert Chea called for immediate and effective collaboration within the Anti-graft Agencies to refrain from sharing sensitive information with Journalist.
“Agencies are linking confidential information to media and written in the newspaper, which shows they are lacking complete collaboration” the Liberia Senate Pro-Tempory asserted.
According to Stateman, collaboration within the security sector and Anti-graft Agency is key for national security.
