Monrovia, Liberia – ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) has highlighted Patience Tody’s incredible success story and underlined its commitment to developing Liberian talent. From a youthful intern to her present position as Strategic Resourcing Supervisor in the company’s Supply Chain Management Department, Tody’s path was honored by the mining giant.

Through the Young Professionals Program (YPP), a program to provide young college graduates with opportunity to grow professionally, Patience joined AML in 2019. As she looked back on her experience, Tody talked about how grateful she was and the difficulties she had in her early years at the organization.

“It has been an immense honor to work with AML, and one should not take it for granted. It was difficult when I started as an intern in 2019, and I nearly passed out from dread, but I had to work harder and put in extra hours.”

“I concentrated on improving my skills, which helped me gain confidence, and now I can say with pride that I feel fortunate, honored, and happy to stand among great and vibrant men in the mining industry and make a meaningful contribution,” Tody remarked.

In addition to praising Tody’s perseverance, hard work, and drive for advancement, AML called her a great example of the company’s devotion to fostering the advancement of Liberian professionals.
