The daughter of Liberty Party’s late Vision bearer Charles Brumskine is calling on the Musa Bility and Nyonblee Kangar Lawrence’s factions of the Liberty Party to redirect their attacks to the backwardness of Liberians under George Weah’s administration.
Charlyne Brumskine’s wake-up call comes at a time when the Party leadership is engaged in power struggle. Chairman Bility’s faction, recognized by NEC, lately endorsed ANC political leader Alexander Cummings for the CPP’s ticket, but Political leader Nyonblee Kangar Lawrence rejected the endorsement and termed the process as illegal.
Addressing a news conference recently in Monrovia, Attorney Brumskine said the existing conflict between the Chairman and political leader is undermining the legacy and vision of her father, whose dream for the Liberty Party had been clinched on reconciliation.
The late Charles Brumskine’s daughter stated while she does not support any faction in the matter, her primary concern is the almost lack of trust the people of Liberia are gradually having in the Liberty Party and the CPP by extension.
She however expressed the need to speedily resolve the conflict within the Party and protect the hard-earned legacy of her later father, Counselor Charles Walker Brumskine.
