Day after Unity Party political leader Joseph Nyumah Boakai vows to use 100 days to fix major roads in Liberia if elected President in 2023; the government of Liberia through the Ministry of Information has shapely reacted to Amb. Boakai accession.

According to the Deputy Minister for technical services at the Ministry of Information Boakai Fofana, the Unity Party political Leader’s statement is deceptive, jealous, envious, cheap politic, and desperate for state power something he described as unfortunate on the part of the former Vice president.

He questions why the Unity Party political leader would make such a claim while the CDC administration is carrying out major development across the nation, stressing that president Weah is connecting neighborhood roads, connecting counties’ capital, and infrastructure development. Former Vice President Boakai, according to Minister Fofana, served the nation for more than forty (40) years with no discernible progress. He said that Amb. Boakai cannot reform Liberia within three months as he claims is theatrics and the conventional political strategy, and the CDC government remains undaunted.

Minister Boakai asserted that the Unity Party had lots of International support but those funds were squandered by officials of the UP government something that former Boakai admitted to on State radio. He made the statement on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the Ministry of Information’s regular press briefing in Monrovia.

It can be recorded that former VP Boakai mention that the country is led by a bunch of people who are heading the country in the wrong direction and the president is calling himself a bad-road medicine when the bulk of the county’s capital cities are not connected. Amb. Boakai spoke on a local radio station in Paynesville, Montserrado County the truth breakfast show on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, noting that he feels disappointed over the deplorable road conditions in Liberia.
