Monrovia, Liberia – In a heartwarming gesture to mark the festive season, BUMU International (Liberia) INC., a company preparing to establish a water manufacturing facility in the Free Town Community, donated food items and sporting materials valued at over six hundred and twenty-five United States dollars (US$625).

The initiative, which underscores the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, aims to strengthen ties with the local community. Representing the General Manager, Ouma S.J. Musa expressed gratitude for the community’s support and cooperation during the company’s preparatory phase.

“On behalf of our General Manager, we extend warm season greetings to the people of the Free Town Community. Although we have not yet fully commenced operations, your invaluable support has encouraged us to share love and joy during this festive season,” Musa remarked.

The donation included sporting materials to promote youth engagement, such as footballs, goalpost planks, nets, and pumps. Community leaders received bags of rice and sachets of water as a gesture of appreciation for their leadership and dedication. Elderly members, aged 65 and above, were presented with cash gifts of 2,000 Liberian dollars alongside sachets of water.

Described the initiative as a “humble beginning,” Musa reassured the community of the company’s commitment to greater contributions in the future. “By this time next year, with God’s grace, we hope to do even more for this community,” he said.

Free Town City Mayor, Madam Patricia Gibson, expressed deep gratitude for the donation, emphasizing its significance to the community. She highlighted the uplifting nature of the gesture, particularly for the youth, and expressed hope for future collaboration.

Madam Gibson pointed to key areas where the community envisions partnership with BUMU International, including improving access to clean water, enhancing public lighting, and constructing modern market facilities.

“We are grateful for BUMU International’s efforts and encourage their continued partnership with the Free Town Community. May God bless the company abundantly as they grow,” she stated.

BUMU International Liberia reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a strong relationship with the Free Town Community. The company encouraged the community to celebrate the festive season with joy and unity while looking forward to a brighter and more prosperous future together.
