Ahead of the 56th birth anniversary of President George Manneh Weah, the youth League of the Coalition for Democratic Change CDC has outlined a series of activities leading to president Weah’s birthday celebration.

According to the Secretary General of the CDC Youth League Emmanuel Johnson, the official ceremony will begin September 27, 2022, with sports activities, September 29, over twenty -four thousand students from across the seventeen electoral Districts in Montserrado County will converge at the Headquarters of the CDC to appreciate President Weah for the level of supports toward the educational sector of the Country.

The youth League Secretary mentioned that the students will also petition president Weah to contest the pending 2023 general and Presidential elections on the same day.

He noted that the Liberian Chief executive has carried out major Developmental projects across the country in a very short period of time as such, he must be appreciated and given a 2nd term to continue what he started.

On September 30, 2022, religious Leaders will assemble at the CDC Head Quarters to offer special prayer for the president while on October 1, 2022, Youths of the CDC will parade the principal Street of Paynesville to the grave site of President Weah’s late mother Anna Weah to pay homage.

He maintained that as per mandate by the Coalition for Democratic Change all Chairpersons from the fifteen political Sub- Division of the country are requested to organize an event in their respective constituents in commemorating the President’s birth anniversary.

The youthful Secretary-General used the occasion to inform the public that there are individuals working in the CDC Led- government leaking sensitive information to opposition political figures.

He at the same time cautioned those involved to desist as the youth League will identify, name, and shame those involved as leaking sensitive information against the government is counterproductive to the growth and development of the country. “You can not be in government at the same time denigrating the same givernment, he narrated.

Johnson expressed Joy that under the Leadership of President George Weah, youths across the country have the opportunity to work in the CDC government as compared to the previous government.

He mentioned that the Ministry of Youth and sports have over the years offer fifteen thousand Jobs to youths across the country while the Ministry of Agriculture employed over ten thousand youths under the World Bank empowerment program.

The Youth League Secretary General also set up a committee to steer the affairs of the president’s birthday celebration, he named Randall Massaquoi as Chairman while Fameta T. Roswell as Co-Chair of the Committee.

The youth League made the disclosure Monday, September 11, 2022, at the Coalition for Democratic Change Head Quarters in Congo Town, Monrovia.
