CSNL Hails Foreign Minister for Restoring Liberia’s Global Image

Monrovia, Liberia – Liberia’s Foreign Minister, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, has been commended by the Civil Society Network of Liberia (CSNL), a prominent pro-democracy organization, for her “outstanding leadership” and “mammoth achievements” in restoring the country’s diplomatic reputation on the international scene.

In a statement, CSNL revealed that Minister Nyanti was the best-performing cabinet member in President Joseph Boakai’s government, according to the results of its Research, Information, and Vetting Committee.

Since taking office in February 2024, the group observed that her administration had increased Liberia’s prominence and esteem in international affairs.

Minister Nyanti’s tenure has been characterized by “results-oriented diplomacy, strategic engagement, and strong negotiation skills,” which have resulted in observable advantages for the nation, according to CSNL.

The organization listed the following as some of her noteworthy achievements: UN Security Council Seat: With strong international support, Liberia was elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2026–2027 term, marking a diplomatic breakthrough.

Improved U.S.-Liberian Relations: Liberians traveling under the B1/B2 category now have a three-year U.S. visa, which makes travel easier and gives people more chances.

In line with the government’s “ARREST Agenda,” economic diplomacy is the active development of trade and investment ties with the UK, France, and other countries to draw in foreign direct investment in mining, agriculture, health, and education.

Passport System Reform: To increase accessibility for citizens outside of Monrovia and decentralize services, Liberia’s passport issuance procedure will be redesigned with new regional offices in Gbarnga and Zwedru.

Increased Bilateral Ties: Forming new alliances with Bahrain, Uzbekistan, Croatia, and Morocco with the goal of strengthening collaboration in trade, tourism, health, and education.

According to CSNL, these accomplishments are “transformative steps” that have greatly aided Liberia’s post-war recovery and development efforts and bolstered the country’s voice in international diplomacy.

The CSNL statement continued, “Minister Nyanti’s performance represents a new era of credible diplomacy and effective leadership that is repositioning Liberia among respected nations.”
