Monrovia-The Township of West Point in central Monrovia has received security devices worth over USD$3,000 from the legislative candidate running in Montserrado County’s electoral district number seven. Among the items Emmanuel Dahn offered were cellphones with touch lights, walking and talking devices, uniforms with battery chargers, and 50,000 Liberian dollars.

Emmanuel Dahn stated the handsets, touch lights, and jackets were his way of helping to reduce criminal activity in the Township during the presenting event. Mr. Dahn contends that community security comes first in protecting the nation, and as a result, the community policing team should receive basic logistical support. Since this was his first donation to the policing community team, he guaranteed the residents of the Township of West Point that he would make other contributions.

The Township of West Point Commissioner, William Wea, accepted the item and thanked Mr. Dahn for providing the security equipment to the local community policing team. According to Commissioner Wea, it is his duty to make sure that he collaborates with regional and international partners to offer citizens security protection.

The Township Commissioner gave Mr. Dahn his word that the donated items would be put to their proper use. A cross-section of citizens, members of Team Dahn, the leadership of the Concern Citizens of the Township of West Point, and others attended the presentation.
