Monrovia, Liberia – With 23 points after eight games, FC Fassell has been dubbed the 2024–2025 LFA male first division’s fan favorite. With another well-earned 2-1 victory over LISCR FC over the weekend at the SKD practice ground, they continued their incredible season-long play.

The Soccer Missionaries star captain, Zah Rahn Krangar and Amos scored in the early minutes of the match. Since the beginning of the league season, have not been defeated. They have played nine games, won seven of, and drawn two, making them the league’s top-performing team.

Anthony Laffor’s arrival gave LISCR FC a fantastic performance in the latter portion of the second half, but it was too late for LISCR FC.

After just four minutes of extra time,  Emmanuel Flomo scored for LISCR in the 90th minute thanks to pressure from veteran Laffor, making the score 2-1.

However, Coach Ivan Mineaet boys who have conceded less goals in the league so far with a total of three goals held on for scrappy win.

The “Shipping boys” played the match with no coaches; their newly appointed Coach, Theophilus Geekors who had a contract with Heaven Eleven FC before his resignation to take over LISCR FC job.

Report has it that his former employers did not hornor the resignation letter which prevented him from standing on the line for the shipping boys.

On the other hand, LISCR FC deputy coach, Christopher Wreh did not perform his tasks.

Report has it that he is not happy with the appointment of Theophilus Geekors as his boss after Oladeinde Babatunde dismissal in late November.

In other results of matches played on Sunday: Black Man Warrior and Mighty Barrolle settled to a 1-1 draw as IE and Freeport FC settled with the same scorelines.

Also two title contenders, Paynesville FC and Bea Mountain played out to a 1-1 draw to open way for FC Fassell to sit top with 4-points clear.

Defending champions, Watanga FC poor start of the season continued as they settled to a 2-2 draw with fellow strugglers, Shaita FC.
