Monrovia, Liberia – Following a well-deserved 1-0 victory over Heaven Eleven in the LFA First Division League, FC Fassell got back to winning ways.

A runner-up’s rebound in the second half made sure Coach Ivan Mineaet’s team got all three points at the SKD practice pitch, putting them one point ahead of the LPRC Oilers, who lost 3-1 to Bea Mountain.

However, several FC Fassell supporters held signs with various inscriptions in their hands before the game: “Coach Ivan Mineaet, you either win our games or you return to Belgium.” The Belgium Coach however blasted those fans calling them paid agents by some individuals.

“I an not worry about those fans who were paid by some people to come with placards to protest.”

At the Dorris Williams Sports Stadium in Buchanan City, Paynesville FC defeated Watanga FC 3-2, putting an end to Coach Cooper Sannah’s team’s hopes.

The Watanga FC coach had previously bragged that the team will win the title at the end of the season, but based on the results, it appears that things are becoming harder for him every day.

In their first seven games, the champs have only won once and drawn twice.

To go back to winning ways, the Shipping Boys of LISCR FC defeated Blackman Warriors, who are led by their previous coach Sam Chabli, by a slim margin of 2-1 at the D-Tweh field.

The shipping boys have struggled in recent losing 3-2 Bea Mountain and 3-0 to League Cup Champions, Paynesville FC but, they managed to put that Nightmare behind them on Sunday.

Caresburge’s Shaita FC lost to struggling Mighty Barrolle 1-0 in Kakata City, Margibi County.

It is Barrolle’s first victory in seven league games this season. Even with the victory, they still have four points and remain at the bottom of the standings.

In a close match at Gardnersville Township’s Tusa Field, Freeport FC, another underdog, defeated Global Pharma with a single goal to win all three points.
