In fulfillment of the government of Liberia PAPD, the Kingdom of Morocco has officially launched the renovation work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs aimed at the beautification of the Ministry.

Speaking at the occasion, the Head of Delegation Ambassador Mohammed Methqal Director General of the Morocco Agency for International Cooperation said the renovation process will kick off later this Month.

During his visit to Liberia, Ambassador Methqal met with President George Weah and other Officials of his government. The discussion with the Liberian Leader focused on a wide range of issues including Morocco and Liberia relations, and regional and International issues.

Ambassador Methqal reaffirmed the Kingdom of Morocco’s commitment to the growth and development of Liberia.

Giving an overview of the ceremony, Hon. Adonie Z. Graves Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs narrated that the people of the Kingdom of Morocco continue to grow from strength to strength and they continue to get stronger and better. On the basis of that, the first official visit out of the country upon taking office as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah Sr. to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Ambassador Kemayah’s many visits to the Kingdom of Morocco have deepened and strengthened bilateral relations between the two countries and people. As the result, his last visit was the Fourteen U S African Business Summit which was hosted by the King of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Minister of Foreign Affairs also lead a top-level Liberian delegation to the summit.

The Assistant Minister disclosed that at the summit, Minister Kemayah invited his Moroccan counterparts to pay an official visit to the Republic of Liberia.

As part of the Reform initiative, the Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that it is not only the renovation of the Foreign Ministry building but the construction of a modern foreign Ministry is high on the agenda of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Speaking on behalf of the government and people of Liberia the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dee-Maxwell  Kemayah Lauded the Kingdom of Morocco and promise to maintain Diplomatic relations between the two African Nations.

Ambassador Kemayah noted that there are some Liberian students who are currently studying in the Kingdom of Morocco fully sponsored by the government of Morocco.

He at the same time cautioned Liberians to maintain the peace and stability of the country for better Development. The Foreign Affairs Minister made the accession on Thursday, August 18, 2022,  at the official launch of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Monrovia.
