Monrovia, Liberia – Francis Fayiah has been charged with theft and imprisoned for allegedly taking more than 116,427 US dollars from the Mano Manufacturing Company. Charges against the defendant Fayiah include misusing entrusted property, criminal conspiracy, and property theft.
On May 10, 2023, the Ghanaian Interpol security service detained Fayiah in Ghana.
Defendant Fayiah admitted to the offenses brought against him, according to police investigators, saying that the money was split among his accomplices.
Francis Fayiah fled the country to Ghana, where he was apprehended by Ghanaian Interpol security as he attempted to travel to the Ivory Coast, according to the inquiry, which revealed that he had been given $20,000 USD.
According to Montgomery Wolo, the administrative manager of the company, the defendant Francis Saah Fayiah and his cronies received commodities from the company valued at approximately USD$164,27.00.00.
Further inquiry revealed that the items given to former BYC Basketball players and others were meant to be delivered to clients in Margibi, Bong, and Nimba and returned said things to the business.
Vegetable oil, chloral, soap, alcohol, candy, and other items were among the varied wares.
To the shock and amazement of the company, defendant Fayiah and his associates sold those goods and used the revenues for their own use and gain, robbing the Company of its newly earned assets.
On Saturday, May 14, 2023, defendant Francis Fayiah was escorted by state security officers to the Monrovia City Court where his right was read to him. The crimes committed are second-degree felonies but are subject to the bill.
