Monrovia, Liberia – A religious group called the Grass Root Pastors Association of Liberia is pleading with President Joseph Boakai to revoke any name recommendations that the UL President Search Committee may make due to the unfairness of the procedure.
Reverend Doctor George Zorbah, the president of the association, said that his group is suggesting Dr. John Wulu, a Liberian educator who is located in the United States, to be the president of UL based on the information they have acquired.
Reverend Doctor Zorbah made the argument that the UL President Search Committee’s report is contradictory due to political infiltration during a news conference that was conducted in Monrovia over the weekend.
However, the Reverend Doctor Zorbah did not identify the politicians who have infiltrated the UL Search Committee and are calling for the dismissal of its reports.
In order to mobilize the resources required to manage the university, including faculty and student exchanges to increase the institution’s human resource capability, President Boakai should recruit an impartial individual with worldwide contacts, according to the Grass Root Pastor Association.
Politicians are considering using the UL as a catalyst for national instability, therefore the institution is on a precipice, according to the former Religious Advisor to former President Moses Blah.
According to Reverend Doctor Zorbah, the UL lacks the creative individuals who can secure the required outside funds because the university shouldn’t rely only on government money.
Reverend Doctor Zorbah claims that Doctor Wulu, a UL alumnus himself, possesses the credentials and global connections needed to benefit the organization.
