Monrovia, Liberia – The relegation-threatened Invincible Eleven, or IE, defeated their historical rivals Mighty Barrolle 3–0 with a goal from Fred Brook in the first minutes of play in the ongoing Orange First Division league. The match took place on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the ATS in Central Monrovia.
It was the Rollers’ second loss of the season and Invincible Eleven’s (IE) second victory in 12 league games. The Rollers had been playing well for a few months, having won six straight games for the first time since the 2010–2011 campaign. However, their loss to rivals caused them to drop from first to third place in the 2023–2024 league.
They are 3 points behind LSICR FC, who managed a 2-1 victory over Paynesville FC at the SKD Practice pitch to move to the top of the table. Despite the win over Barrolle, IE’s still battling relegation with 10 points after 12 matches.
While FC Kallon-Liberia destroyed NPA Anchors 3-0 to get back to winning ways, another relegation-threatened Cece United holds Heaven Eleven to a 1-1 draw. Conversely, the LPRC Oilers shocked everyone by defeating Nimba Kwado 1-0 at Tusa Field in Barnesville. Former champions Watanga FC defeated Freeport FC 1-0 in a hard-fought match to go up to second place with 26 points.
