Monrovia, Liberia – In the ongoing 2023/2024 National League at the ATS on Monday, October 16, 2023, Paynesville FC astonished everyone by defeating FC Kallon-Liberia 5-0. This victory moved Paynesville FC up to fifth position in the league chart with eight points from five league matches.

Coach Dominic Savic’s boys won another Paynesville derby, which was moved from the City of Paynesville to Central Monrovia due to the ongoing ballot count at the SKD after Tuesday’s general elections. Jenkins Sieh scored a brace, and Edward Ledlum, Mark Paye, and Chris Dennis each scored a goal.

After surprising FC Kallon Liberia 5-0 and drawing 1-1 with Watanga FC earlier in the season, the newly promoted First division team is yet to lose a Paynesville City derby. This puts them ahead of other City rivals. They have secured two wins and two draws in their opening five league matches.
