Monrovia, Liberia – Inmates at the Monrovia Central Prison received an appealing lunch and words of encouragement from Indian business tycoon Upjit Singh Sachdeva as part of his birthday festivities.

On April 24, Mr. Sachdeva, also known as Jeety, and his crew visited the jail complex and provided wholesome meals to hundreds of convicts in a compassionate act that has come to characterize his humanitarian endeavors. The occasion served as one of several events designed to honor his birthday by helping the underprivileged.

During the outreach, Jeety spoke and stressed the value of hope, rehabilitation, and compassion. He stated, “I think there’s no better way to celebrate today than by showing love and kindness to my brothers and sisters here. No matter where they are, everyone is entitled to respect and a second opportunity.”

Outside of the prison, Mr.  Jeety also dedicated a portion of his birthday to connecting with underprivileged young people in Monrovia. He reaffirmed his dedication to community upliftment and youth empowerment by distributing food packages, school materials, and other necessities to a number of villages that were at risk.

Col. Roosevelt Varney, the superintendent of Monrovia Central Prison, commended Jeety’s unwavering assistance, pointing out that his work gives humanity and hope to people who frequently feel neglected.

Additionally, 154 prisoners at the Kakata Central Prison received hot meals. As part of the celebrations, more than 2,500 employees of Jeety Rubber LLC and its affiliate, the Salala Rubber Corporation (SRC), as well as local merchants, students, and motorcyclists, were also given hot meals and assistance.

1,549 prisoners were fed during the celebration at Monrovia Central Prison alone, demonstrating the scope and significance of Jeety’s continuous humanitarian work.

In Liberia, where he is praised for his unwavering dedication to humanitarian concerns in addition to his commercial success, Jeety’s deeds of compassion have won him a lot of affection.
