Appointed As Ambassador To Permanent Mission In NY
Monrovia, Liberia – Lewis Brown, the former chairperson of the ANC party, has been named Ambassador Designate, Liberia Permanent Mission in New York by President Joseph N. Boakai. On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the President appointed a number of people, including Ambassador Brown.
Foreign Missions in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Kuwait, Qatar, Senegal, Morocco, Ghana, and Liberia Permanent Mission in New York have all been impacted by President Boakai’s nomination.
Also, President Boakai nominated Al Hassan Conteh as Ambassador Designate to the United States of America and Genevieve Kennedy as Ambassador Designate to United Kingdom He named Teeko Yorlay as Ambassador Designate to France, while Edward Appleton appointed as Ambassador Designate to Japan.
However, the President has appointed Brahima Kaba as Ambassador Designate to Kuwait and Mohammed Kanneh as Ambassador Designate to Qatar. To Senegal, Boakai nominated Ali Sylla as Ambassador Designate; he also nominated Joseph Johnson as Ambassador Designate to Morocco and Musu J. Ruhle as Ambassador Designate to Ghana.
The Liberian leader stated that other selections would be made public once diplomatic approvals are obtained, but that the Liberian Senate must ratify them.
President Boakai has urged government staff to be diligent, dedicated, honest, professional, and loyal in their service to the nation.
