Monrovia, Liberia – China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lin Jian has stressed China’s position as a global economic center and the potential for international cooperation at press briefings.

China’s strong global trade was emphasized by Lin Jian, who pointed out that in the first half of 2024, imports and exports totaled over RMB 21 trillion, representing a 6.1% annual rise. This illustrates China’s ability to compete as its crucial position in international supply networks.

For seven years running, China has been the world’s largest dealer in goods, and for more than ten years, it has been a major source of outward investment, helping 155 nations and regions.

By facilitating market access and treating both local and foreign-funded companies equally, Lin Jian reaffirmed China’s commitment to fostering a positive economic climate. He gave instances of companies like Volkswagen and BMW increasing their investments in China, demonstrating the international community’s faith in the country’s market potential.

China has further opened its market to overseas companies by establishing venues such as the China overseas Import Expo to promote international cooperation and commerce.

Developments in fields like robots, quantum computing, and aerospace show how China is moving from being a follower to a leader in technical innovation. These developments support the expansion of the global industrial sector.

In order to ensure that every country has an equal chance to profit from global economic expansion, Lin Jian reaffirmed China’s support for inclusive economic globalization. He underlined how China is assisting sustainable development and green transformations in Africa through programs like renewable energy projects.

Lin Jian’s comments present China as a key force behind technical advancement, international collaboration, and global economic expansion, providing chances for all countries to participate in its sizable market.
