Monrovia- Additional 40 boxes, each holding 25 rounds, have been found by the Liberia National Police in the container that was taken by joint security at the Monrovia Freeport. According to police spokesman Moses Carter, the most recent find was made as a consequence of extra searching done on January 7, 2023, on Saturday. On Thursday, January 4, 2023, the LNP held a significant news conference to inform the general public about the finding of a sizable shipment of weapons and ammunition during the search and seizure operation.

The police spokesperson announced that the LNP has started to remove tinted and flashing glasses from vehicles that are not approved and warned the owners to stop doing so.

At the Board waterside checkpoint in Grand Cape Mount county, the Liberia National Police detained three people in relation to the 500,000 counterfeit banknotes. Moses Carter claims that on January 7, 2023, joint security stopped three people from entering the nation at the Board waterside checkpoint carrying 500,000 counterfeit Liberian dollars. Sekou Kanneh, 37, Mohammed Kamara, 37, and a 35-year-old Guinean woman named Baipoyee Kamara are among those detained.

The police spokesman also disclosed that the LNP has launched a full-skill investigation into a 15-year-old Manor identified as Princess Harmon who was discovered dead with parts extracted from her body in the Mount Barclay Community. Mr. Carter, however, revealed the arrest of a 16-year-old Manor Cyrus Logan in connection with the death of a 31-year-old woman in the Duport Road Community. He used the occasion to inform the public that the LNP will continue to update the public about the situation.
