Lofa County has won the protest case against Sinoe County in the National County Sports Meet basketball semifinal. After Lofa lost to Sinoe county, the Wologibi boys filed a protest against Sinoe County for fielding more than two first division players against them in violation of the county meet rule.
This ruling from the County Meet Protest committee put Lofa in the competition again meaning, Lofa County will today Saturday, January 15, 2022, will play Grand Kru County in the grand final of the basketball edition of the 2021/2022 National County Sports Meet.
The ruling also means Lofa has reached their first Basketball final in the national county sports meet. The Volleyball final is also this Saturday, between Grand Kru County and Margibi County. The athletics final will come on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the SKD Sports Complex just before the kickball and football finals.
Lofa will take on Rivercess county in the kickball final, while Nimba county will tackle Gbarpolu county in the football final.
