Monrovia, Liberia – Kindness Wilson, Miss Liberia First Runner Up, has been issued a writ of arrest by the Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice for a variety of criminal charges, including simple assault, disorderly conduct, and threatening.

The writ was issued on March 31, 2025, by Stipendiary Magistrate Ben L. Barco and Associate Magistrates, and it directs law enforcement to arrest Miss Wilson and bring her before the court to respond to the charges.

The accusations, according to the writ, are related to an incident that happened on the Stella Maris Polytechnic University campus, on March 31. Wilson allegedly “purposely and intentionally” slapped and physically abused a female student (Juah Cassell), during an confrontion, causing her to experience “severe bodily pains,” according to the prosecution.

Additionally, it is alleged that the defendant threatened the complainant’s life and verbally abused her in a way that caused psychological pain and public mockery.

The incident violates the New Penal Law of Liberia’s Sections 14.21 (Simple Assault), 14.25 (Menacing), and 17.3 (Disorderly Conduct), according to the writ. Wilson’s activities were characterized by the prosecution as “unlawful, wicked, illegal, and intentional,” claiming that they compromise the Republic’s peace and dignity.

The arrest warrant gives law enforcement the right to arrest Miss Wilson while they await more procedures in the Monrovia City Court. Miss Wilson’s action was allegedly caused by the defendant publishing a widely shared video of her in Thailand.
