Monrovia, Liberia – The murder of Mr. Anwar Futloo, a South African national and the general manager of the Boulevard Palace Hotel, on December 30, 2024, in Monrovia, under suspicious circumstances, has prompted the Ministry of Justice to immediately begin an investigation.
The Ministry of Justice has ordered an autopsy to be performed on the remains of the South African businessman and national in order to determine the cause of his death.
The Liberian government said it is extremely saddened by the South African national’s passing and promised to use all of its resources to look into the matter fully and bring charges against anyone found responsible.
In spite of this regrettable circumstance, the Ministry of Justice urged all Liberians and international residents to maintain composure, exercise patience, withstand rumors, and know that everyone’s safety and security in Liberia’s borders is a top concern.
