The Nancy Doe Sports stadium in Kakata City, Margibi County was a center of attraction on Sunday afternoon when scores of “Money Exchangers in Lower and Upper Margibi battle each other in a heated soccer encounter.
The occasion started with a grand parade on the principal streets of Kakata City led by the National Association of Foreign Exchange Bureau of Liberia President Nimely Sayen. The President of the Foreign Bureau Nimely Sayeh opener for Lower Margibi in the early minutes of the match was not enough for a win as Upper Margibi came from behind to secure a 3-1 win.
Mr. Sayeh in conversations with reporter’s minutes after the match expressed joy over what he termed as complete unity among the money exchangers in Margibi while calling on other counties to follow similar examples.
“These are things I want to see among the money exchangers across Liberia.We want to show to the public that we are specialized in other things not just setting behind our boxes.This process will continue to other Counties not just Margibi”, Mr Sayeh indicated.
For his part, the Chief Organizers of the match, Joseph Mcgill said their objectives are not just unity but to decentralize the institution. “We want for this institution to cover the entire country. I am very much happy to see our colleagues from lower part of our beloved county coming to Kakata to play a soccer match. This just demonstrates that we are together”, Mcgill narrated.
