COMMITS TO FULLY SUPPORT CDC, DONATES TO FIRE VICTIMS
Monrovia, Liberia – Three members of the Movement for Economic Empowerment’s executive committee were removed by the national executive committee for actions that went against the Party’s platform. After a one-day meeting, a resolution consisting of eight counts was adopted, demanding the removal of the three party executives.
Jeremiah Paye, Patrick Karmoh, and Matthew Shan are among those that were kicked out.
Speaking at a press conference held just after the meeting over the weekend, Mr. Mehn asserted that the national executive committee has maintained its membership in the Coalition for Democratic Change, which is headed by former president George Weah, and has reaffirmed its allegiance to the party’s political leader, Dee Maxwell Kemeyah.
As per the resolution, the national executive committee also decided that Robert Sammie and other individuals who are on national duties abroad will stay in their positions until the law compel them to resign.
Meanwhile, recent fire victims in the Paynesville Town Hall Community received food and non-food items, including cash, from Head of MOVEE and former Foreign Minister Amb. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah Sr.
After a fire calamity in their neighborhood destroyed all of their property, the beneficiaries said that Amb. Kemayah’s gesture offered them immense relief.
Amb. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemaya Sr., supported by his wife, spoke to his neighbors during the presentation of the donated gifts and expressed that his love for them knows no bounds.
He offered his sincere condolences to the victims, in particular, for the loss of their houses and belongings, but he also thanked God that nobody was hurt or lost their lives as a result of the fire calamity.
