AHEAD OF OCTOBER 10, 2023, GENERAL AND LEGISLATIVE ELETIONS.
Paynesville, Liberia – Prior to the general and legislative elections on October 10, 2023, Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) Standard Bearer Simeon Freeman chose Dr. James K. Barclay, a former vice-presidential candidate, as his running mate.
The MPC political Leader made the pronouncement on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, during a special convention held at the Baptist Seminary in Paynesville.
According to Mr. Freeman, the decision was reached after hours of closed-door meetings; adding that the decision followed series of consultations with partisans and supporters in the country. He stated that until voters in the nation modify how they cast their ballots, the problems citizens confront will not be resolved.
Simeon Freeman claimed that Dr. Barclay, a native of Bong County, would aid in the liberation of the Liberians. The MPC political leader claimed that the incumbent will be retrained if the opposition block does not coordinate and cooperate since there are numerous windows that may be used by the ruling establishment to seek reelection.
For his part, Dr. Barclay, affirmed that he will stand alongside Simeon Freeman to support the Liberian people’s cause.
