Monrovia, Liberia – The Chairperson of the National Elections Commission Madam Davidetta Brown Lansana has inform the public that there will be “No Electronic Voting on Election Day” due to out standing balance.

Addressing a regular press briefing on Tuesday at the commission headquarters in Monrovia, Madam Lansana said, citizens will be ask to present their voting cards for verification to ensure that the name is on the FRR after which said person will be qualified to vote.

She said, Voter Identification Cards will not be puncher because a lot of funds were spent on it noting that they are durable cards and could last for five to ten years.

“These are durable cards which are supposed to last you for between 5 to 10 years, These cards were paid for and it’s not just the card. The entire biometric process which cause the country close to 12million United States Dollars.” 

“Perhaps we all need to know that CVE should not just rest with the Commission alone, it should also be integrated in the curriculum of our national education system, in that way it get strengthen”

“CVE and all other activities depends on budgetary, even if we were to get support from partners, the government of Liberia through the National Election Commission approved budget and provide money for CVE.
