The ongoing war in Europe has hit Africa especially Liberia as the world leader of gas Russia hit Ukraine in warfare, the issue of bio gas has become expensive with shortage in Europe.
On Friday March 4, 2022, Liberia an Africa nation has started experiencing petrol shortage. From Friday evening to Saturday March 5, 2022, the price of petrol has increase from LRD$ 650 to LRD$ 1000.
Speaking to a taxi driver, Reports231gather that some commercial drivers have increase the prices of of transportation in the city of Monrovia. According to Emmanuel Johnson, he charges LRD$ 200 from central Monrovia to the ELWA Junction.
The shortage of petrol two days now is yet to be known as the government is yet to speak to the ongoing situation.
