Mourn Fallen Gov’t Officials

Monrovia, Liberia – The book of condolence for the late Grand Bassa Superintendent Julia K. Bono has been signed by President Joseph N. Boakai at her Grand Bassa County home.

After the signing ceremony on Sunday, November 10, 2024, the Liberian leader also paid a visit to families of the fallen government officials and applauded them for the services of their love once to the government and country at large.

However, the Liberian leader also on Sunday mourned the passing of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Brown B. Sarlee and Superintendent of Grand Bassa County, Julia K. Bondo, described the passing of his fallen officials as great lost to his administration and the people of Liberia.

He urged Liberians to continue showing their love for their country in the midst of the grief that has overtaken his government, saying that the death of a public worker is an opportunity to consider the individual’s contributions to the advancement of the country.

Remembering their contributions to national development, President Boakai extended condolences to their family and colleagues. The President added that the death of the Assistant Minister of Internal Affairs and the Superintendent of Grand Bassa Country impacts not just their families but the nation.

“This is a loss felt deeply across the entire nation. Their legacy of integrity, vision, and commitment to our shared values will live on. My thoughts and prayers are with their loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” Boakai stated.
