ADDING, HE IS NOT DETERRED BY OPPOSITION THREAT
Monrovia, Liberia – The president of Liberia, Joseph Boakai, has bragged that he will not be deterred from rebuilding his nation by any amount of threats from opposition politicians or parties.
The Liberian leader stated that his main goal is to develop the nation for the good of all people, emphasizing that despite the opposition community’s criticism, he is unaffected by this aim.
President Boakai claimed that his administration is working hard to provide the conditions necessary for the nation’s growth and is indifferent to criticism from the public or other opposition figures.
“I didn’t come to be called president; I came with the commitment for us to build a new Liberia, a country that will serve the people. Nothing to fear, nothing to threaten me.”
The claim was made over the weekend by the Chief Executive of Liberia at the commissioning of multiple verified government personnel at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia.
Calling on all Liberians to work together in reconstructing the nation, he pointed out that criticism is not the best course of action and is not beneficial to those who use it as a weapon against the administration.
President Boakai also revealed that the nation will soon give electricity to other nearby countries if the government keeps up its good work.
President Boakai was reassured by Minister of Internal Affairs Francis Sakila Nyumalin Sr., speaking on behalf of those commissioned, that they would collaborate with the government to make sure it succeeds and that the people take charge of their own development.
“We pledge our commitment to conduct business differently with the highest degree of standards guided by the principles of integrity, inclusion, transparency, accountability and participation.”
The President has commissioned the following individuals: Jerolinmek Matthew Piah, Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs, and Tourism; Eugene L. Fahngon, Director General of the Liberia Broadcasting System; several members of the Liberian Cabinet; heads of state-owned enterprises; heads of security agencies; and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia. The mayors of Monrovia and Paynesville and Cities were also commissioned.
The Commissioning is the ultimate power to carry out duties and obligations in compliance with the law.
