Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph N. Boakai on behalf of the Government of Liberia has reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to strengthening and deepening ties with the United States of America.
During the reception held at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town on Thursday, June 27, 2024 to celebrate the 248th anniversary of the United States of America’s independence, the leader of Liberia expressed gratitude for the long-lasting, beneficial, fulfilling, and promising relationship that has existed between the two countries since the Republic’s founding.
Since the beginning of his administration, President Boakai claimed to have seen this as a great chance to start a fresh and new chapter in the relationship between Liberia and the United States.
“My expectation is that this relationship should be a period of honesty, respect, transparency, equity, and probity.”
According to President Boakai, the benefits of the collaboration would immediately and favorably affect the lives of Liberians and improve the nation’s reputation on the 248th year of American independence.
The President declared that it is the country’s hope, dream, and prayer, and he added that Liberia has demonstrated its unwavering determination to prevent its citizens from engaging in business as usual.
He clarified that his government would set an example and make sure that everyone who has invested in the partnership receives relief and satisfaction from using its products.
According to President Boakai, Liberia is fully prepared to welcome a new chapter of fruitful and advantageous relations with its longtime ally, the United States of America.

The ceremony was graced by many American citizens in Liberia, diplomats and well wishers.
