Monrovia- Following their appointment and subsequent approval by the Liberian Senate, President George Manneh Weah commissioned a number of government officials on January 17, 2023. Along with Cllr. Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, Mr. G. Wesseh Blamoh, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Madam Ruth Coker-Collins, Minister of Public Works, Cllr. Nelson B. Chinneh, Relieving Judge, and Amb. Sarah Safny Fyneah, Liberia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and its Organs.

President Weah administered the oath of office and noted that the commissioned officers had been appropriately screened, recommended, and confirmed by the Senate. He also expressed confidence in their capacity to uphold the trust placed in them. The President insisted, “I have no doubt that they have the necessary experience, abilities, and qualifications to perform in the individual posts to which I am appointing them today.

Cllr. Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, expressed gratitude to President Weah on behalf of the commissioned officials for his preference in appointing them to their respective posts. He gave the President his word that they would work tirelessly to live up to his confidence in them.
