Monrovia, Liberia – As more than 40 politicians signed a petition to establish the war and economic crimes court, Senator Prince Johnson characterizes it as an attempt to bring back the worst memories of the nation. Speaking on Tuesday Senator Prince Johnson stated over the phone on the Truth breakfast show in Monrovia that while he is not concerned about the court’s formation, it will have unfavorable effects.
Senator Johnson added, “They will respond directly to the court establishment through the legal system as former generals from Nimba and other parts of the country.”
He accused Allan White of not being an official of the United States but rather of traveling from one nation to another in search of funds to instigate conflict in underdeveloped African nations, including Liberia. He further accused Allan White of being the brains behind the talks that led to the creation of the court.
He accused the Boakai administration of receiving the sum of $300 Million United States dollars, adding that the government is alleging a disturbing said amount among lawmakers for the signing of a resolution for the war crime court establishment.
A resolution proposing the creation of a War and Economic Crimes Court has been unanimously signed by forty members of the House of Representatives on Capital Hill.
Representative Sumo Mulbah of Montserrado County District #3 and Representatives Yekeh Kolubah and three other Representatives are co-sponsors of the resolution, which was signed on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
