The United State of America in Liberia celebrate with it Marine Corps as they celebrate 246 years of existence. The US embassy stated that it is pleased to celebrate with the Marine Corps of their special day. “We are honored to congratulate the valiant women and men of the U.S. Marine Corps on their 246th birthday”!
According to ABC EYEWITNESS NEWS, For those who have earned the title of Marine, Nov. 10 is celebrated as if it was their own birthday, serving as a “yearly reminder of the brave spirit that has compelled young men and women to defend our nation and its interests for more than two centuries,” according to Marines.com.
Since 1948, Marine Security Guards have stood side-by-side with their embassy colleagues during periods of both tranquility and turmoil. They are an indispensable part of what we do, and we are proud to count them as members of the U.S. Embassy Monrovia family.
