Host Dinner in Nimba
Monrovia, Liberia – Liberia Vice President, Jeremiah Kpan Koung has urged local county officials to rally behind the government’s ARREST agenda during a welcome and reception dinner held in Nimba.
Addressing the people of Nimba on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at his “Koung’s Farm,” VP Koung emphasized the vital role of leadership likening it to a borrowed coat.
He stressed, “The more you work and use it in the interest of the Liberian people, the greater the reward will be in the end.”
The Vice President owns and operates Koung’s Farm, which is located in Nimba County and just a short 15-minute drive from the vibrant city of Ganta.
A number of local authorities from the fifteen counties have been elevated to various offices in appreciation of their steadfast devotion and dedication to their tasks, according to the Vice President.
VP Koung welcomed both past and present local government representatives from all of the counties to Nimba during the event, emphasizing that all county authorities nationwide should have Liberia’s growth and development as their top priority.
County superintendents, municipal mayors, and ministers including the Minister of Internal Affairs came together for the week-long event with the goal of promoting cooperation and advancing national development.
